Phase 1 will open in the spring of 2013. It will feature a 142-room LEED-certified Hampton Inn & Suites and 18,100 square feet of first-floor retail and restaurant space as well as the first phase of the parking deck adding 500 more spaces.
Phase 2 will begin on the west edge of the center, with a mixed-used building of retail, restaurant and Class A office space beside the UNC rail tracks. In addition to wide sidewalks, this architecturally unique building will present rare opportunities with large second- and fifth-floor balconies for outdoor dining or corporate open-air office space.
Phase 3 will be the last phase of this redevelopment, focused on the center of the site. It will included more mixed-use buildings with shops, restaurants, offices and cultural space.
