300 East Main
The place to be when you’re in Chapel Hill
300 East Main is the vibrant center of downtown Carrboro, where UNC Students, professors, families, artists and visitors appreciate an array of dining, shopping, arts, and nightlife. In addition to its prime location in downtown Chapel Hill-Carrboro, there is also the rare commodity of parking. 300 East Main’s first phase will add to the mix with more retail and hotel space and a new, free 500-space parking deck.
Many of 300 East Main’s current tenants are unique institutions — creating a well-known, frequently re-visited destination. The nationally acclaimed Cat’s Cradle has up to five to six shows a week, each with up to 850 music-loving fans. The ArtsCenter is the place to go for all ages that appreciate various mediums of art, offering children and adult classes and camps, performances, and an art gallery. Fleet Feet’s store, and its corporate headquarters next door, bring hundreds of active people of all ages to 300 East Main for running club events, shopping for active wear and specialized footwear. The new LEED-certified Hampton Inn & Suites, the only hotel in Carrboro and one of the few in downtown Chapel Hill-Carrboro, will have 142-rooms with an average of 200 guests a night.
